Here is what you need to open a bank account

  • Proof of who you are and
      
  • Proof of where you live.

Here are some things that prove who you are 

  • Passport
       
  • Birth certificate
       
  • Driving licence
      
  • Medical card.

Here are some things that prove where you live 

  • A letter addressed to you   
        
  • A letter from college.

If you cannot get these things Connexions can write you a letter for the bank.

You will need £1 to open the account.
       
If you are under 16 your parents/carers will have to sign a form.   
   
If you are over 16 you can sign the form yourself.
